Last time i ordered McD’s a cheeseburger was €1,80, while a double cheese was €6,45. So that’s almost 4 cheeseburgers for the price of a double cheese. It just be like that.
I saw the same thing in ‘t Waasland. Bought a mc Fish for €2,50 and had to pay € 4,80. I returned my burger and got my money back. It was “the price of last week” or something like that.
This burger is not even worth it’s €2,50.
Dynamic pricing. Happens all the time; this is why big shops now have the electronic price tags. An owner explained to me: warm day? Drinks just get more expensive.
Macdonalds is famous for constantly changing its prices and even having different prices for different stores on the same day.
It’s the reason why you can order Quick from the app but can’t do that from the macdo app. People would all go to the place with the lowest prices and that’s not how you make a multi billion dollar company.
They usually do this at the beginning of the month.
In the past Mc donald’s Belgium had what they called “Eurodeals” you could get some items at 1, 2 or 3€. But each month the basket of items that could be bought at those prices changed so january you had for example the double cheeseburger at 2€ and the double hamburger at the normal price of let’s say 4,70€ and in februari they would interchange.
Now since I think september 2022 they are really trying to push prices up and reducing the number of items that sometimes get the low price. The double cheeseburger for example now rarely gets the 2,50€ treatment while the filet-o-fish has been getting it in multiple joints.
They even introduced the doublecheese to the menu (you can get it with fries and drink) in order for customers to see it as a “normal” standard burger I guess.
Now I notice that most joints don’t really follow a plan and do the changes when they want. But if you ask nicely when your favorite item will be back at the reduced price they will tell you 😉
Inflation goes crazy these times huh
Someone picks that?
Is it good?
Normally I always go to the mcdo in Diest. I always take 9 nuggets for my wife cause most of the time she only eats 5 or 6 and I get the rest, anyway that’s not the point. I was trying to say that with 9 nuggets you get two times saus for free.
The last few times i went to Sint truiden. It was a newer restaurant and again 9 nuggets was 2 times saus but here you have to pay extra for both.
Then I went to a recently opened restaurant in webbekom, that’s between Diest and Sint truiden. Same thing! Pay for every saus. Now the strange part. I go to Diest again and what do you know, 2 times free saus with 9 nuggets. So it’s all the same brand , it’s all the same digital screen and menu. But at one place you get free saus, other place you pay for every single thing. I always wondered why this is like this 🤷🏻♂️
But i do recommend using the app, a McFlurry is 175 points if I’m not mistaken. If you go the mc Donald’s a few times, you can get alot of mc flurries “for free” this way after a while. 😉
Amai. Geef me dan toch ma ne goeie Bicky
‘muh inflation en muh war’
It’s a weekly event the filetifish price
I find McDonalds a waste of money. It’s expensive and the food isn’t very filling imo.
Every franchisee can choose the prices they want to set liberally within a max and min cost. Cost of living in antwerp is not the same as bilzen. The raw goods they buy also constantly fluctuate, so when they make an order their prices also keep changing. If they have remaining stock they may adjust things so they keep selling the right product mix, making their next orders predictable. They also measure profit and product mix sold every 15 min. So they may have noticed they sell more of them on that particular day somehow and raise prices to catch the people that are product mix inflexible.
It isn’t an algorithm yet, so someone put some things in Excel and probably noticed a trend.
Those are all the reasons I know.
McDonalds employee here, every month so called “McMomentjes” switch around,
for exapmpe: llast month in the establishment I work it was the cheeseburger and 4nuggets (alongside other stuff), this month it’s doublecheese and 3wings (and other things, idk it’s only been 2days lmao)
filet-o-fish was also part of the McMomentjes last month, this month not anymore hence it’s back to full price
hope this explains it?
EDIT: this can be different for other establishments btw, not all McDonalds are owned by the same people
Mc Fillet o Fish suck ass don’t eat that shit eat king fish at Quick much better
The first one is made with Ukrainian fish
I suggest going to your friterie instead
Bad fish needs to be cleared from inventory?
“Frozen fish patties are about to expire” vs “Frozen fish patties are good for another week” ?
Don’t see the difference. Both look disgusting.
The one on the left is made with real mermaid
One is maybe with a drink?
4.7 euro voor plat broodje met wat goedkope gefrituurde vis? AUB zeg. Ik verschiet niet dat het slecht gaat met deze! Prima moment om andere zaken op te starten!
