I’ve noticed that most places where people can complain about bpost, are either hidden or have some wanker from their SuPoRtTeAm lock the threads with basic copy paste or corporate bootlicking answers. Perhaps we might get this sub to the top of the google searches when looking to complain about bpost and their mafia tier scam systems.
Best you can do, is contact the shop and say you won’t be a returning costumer because they use bpost who uses unrealistic “custom charges”.

I feel your pain. Heb dit net twee keer betaald voor pakjes van dezelfde shop. Stond ook dat 5 dagen na customs clearance, de pakjes zouden geleverd worden. Dat was eind augustus, douane heeft z’n ding gedaan, bpost heeft 2x betaald gekregen. Raad eens wie er just niks in zijn brievenbus heeft gehad?

Hoe kun je zien of het om een geregistreerde webshop gaat? Is dat altijd als btw al verrekend zit bij het betalen?
Protip: alles altijd laten herberekenen, ik had een pakket van Ali ter waarde van 2€ met btw rond de 5€ + 15€

Dude, ALL couriers are asking around that price for doing the customs formalities as far as I know. Fedex, DHL, UPS.. Last time I had something coming in from outside the EU, using Fedex, I payed 15€ administrative fee as well.

If you buy outside of the EU, always be very careful. If the shop does not perform the tax and customs duties for you, you will be paying the postman.
It’s to high the customs and the administration fee.
I stopped ordering stuff from outside EU.
But it’s so stupid, I feel so limited by these rules. Government should really stop stealing my money. I need certain specific small parts but I can’t buy them here without paying massive custom fee. It really impacts my efficiency as a person.

They have been holding literally every package I receive, even gifts with a value of 5-10 euros and asking me to pay vat, import taxes , formalities upwards of 30-40 euros sometimes. They still haven’t released a package that they’ve had since June and now aren’t even responding to my emails.
Also I’m pretty sure they’ve had a data leak as only a couple of days after I started emailing them I started getting a lot of spam mails regarding packages and post and that sort of stuff…
(I didn’t get any spam before)

Dat moet je toch op voorhand weten?

Het is heel simpel, als je dingen koopt van buiten de EU en ze rekenen geen btw aan dan ga je dit bij de import moeten betalen + een administratieve kost.
Dus koop je iets aan voor €10 van China en betaal je geen btw bij checkout, dan ga je bij de import €15(admin)+€2.1 (btw) moeten betalen.
Als het van een winkel is die alles correct doet en effectief btw aanrekent en hiervoor een aangifte doet voor alles wat ze verkopen aan de EU dan zou je bij checkout gewoon €12.1 moeten betalen en geen administratieve kosten.
Pure afpersing en zakkenvullerij. Fuck bpost, er is geen enkele reden dat dit zoveel moest kosten.

I ordered something earlier this year and back then you didn’t have to pay import on something less than 24 euro, but they changed it and obviously it just arrived after that change. Had to pay the price of the object twice. Never ordering from outside the EU again, horrible.
Not bpost. EU directive aimed at putting China based e-commerce on the same level as eu based e-commerce, aka pay taxes where you sell.
