A lot of this billionaires trying to go into space I’m quite underwhelmed by.
The idea he could get this working right was virgin on the ridiculous
Well that’s the spaceport in Cornwall fully buggered now.
It’s a shame, because there was scope to explore other launch options.
Ah well, at least we still have goonhilly
Stupid way of launching satellites from completely the wrong situation in the first place.
But hey, it made ministers look cool and techie for a few years.
It’s a shame really, I visited the Space / Space port section of trade halls at Farnborough airshow last year. All these companies, most of them small were really enthusiastic about having space ports around the U.K.
To have the “biggest” well-known one fail spectacularly is a huge blow.
With a name like ‘Virgin’, you just knew from the off that they wouldn’t go all the way. They have history for this.
