Well at least the conversation is moving in the right direction at last.
Its not enough that these people are getting a slap on the wrist, oftentimes not even that, for the way they behaved and handled matters of extreme public significance during the covid crisis.
At the very least they should be held accountable for criminal levels of negligence.
This really needs to be sorted before the memory fades. Almost as soon as the events transpired it seems like people have developed a fairly rose-tinted perspective of the cack-handed way our government handled the whole affair, having to be *dragged* time and time again into taking action, fighting the entire time that if we just did nothing things would just blow over, right up until tens of thousands of people were already dying. And that wasn’t just the initial outbreak, they did it again over the winter of 20/21!
Yet somehow the narrative that they “did the best anyone could have done” seems really stuck in certain sectors. And that’s just the policy side nevermind the horrific levels of corruption that seem to consistently run through the financial side the moment you start scratching the surface.
> He said he should not carry the can for his department’s failure to safeguard care home residents simply because he was Secretary of State – and that it should be the whole Government instead.
Happy to blame the whole government, while also [holding Hancock personally responsible for the 20,000 care home deaths](https://www.bmj.com/content/377/bmj.o1098).
But that would involve living in a country with a government that understands what responsibility is, unfortunately that ship has clearly sailed.

Around 2021, I recall this guy confidently telling the press that “bringing in the vaccines” would be his legacy.
Being completely forgotten right now seems comfortable, in my opinion.
Being responsible is such a welcome change to see from Matt Hancock.
That’s the fictional timeline I want to live in, I’m sorry.
Such a PoS. We’re not serious enough to handle a global crisis because these louts lied their way into office by lying about Brexit. Their incompetence resulted in countless fatalities, and up until this point, their media allies helped them get away with it.
If the average person got somebody killed due to being incompetent at their job, they face prison.
Why should it not be the same for a government official/MP? If you cant do your job, you should be held liable for it.
>He said he should not carry the can for his department’s failure to safeguard care home residents simply because he was Secretary of State – and that it should be the whole Government instead.
That is a fair point. I hope that prison space can be made to accommodate all of the goverment for their murderous incompetence, if not then just cram the fuckers in anyway.
He’s going to stitch up Boris and claim he was told to get them in to care homes
He fell in love you monsters!!
His only crime is caring *too much*
Are those in Labour and the SNP under the same investigation for doing the same in their respective devolved governments too?
I told my lawyer I want a million pounds and a racecar bed
You Mr Hancock, listen closely, can fuck, here’s the important bit, right fucking off.
If this man gets off with nothing more than a slapped wrist, there will be fucking mutiny.
His protocol of remdesivir and midazolam and then using ventilators killed a hell of a lot of people and they blamed the flu or flu symptoms! And a PCR test that was fit for purpose..
Let’s face it he is never going to spend a day behind bars, not because he is innocent but because they won’t want to set a president for accountability.
I’m not an expert, but I suspect it’s not up to his lawyers to decide. Otherwise I’d simply hire a lawyer to claim he’s guilty of mass manslaughter and needs to be tied in a sack for 50 years…
If he can lie to his wife and children, he can certainly lie to the plebs.
All through the pandemic the public were lied to by their governments, and yet nothing, we deserve pieces of shit like this running the show as we do nothing abut it.
Is that how it works? You can just ask for immunity from your crimes?
Does he have no spine as a leader of his department? Jesus. Take some responsibility, man…
My brother in Brexit, that’s like admitting murder. Can’t blame him, he had to follow orders from a moron that was even more moronic than himself.
And the guy in charge of the expenditure was trying to become his boss as well. Poor fella.
Politics is the dirtiest business in the world, imo.
Hold on, he deliberately ignored the advice of the UK’s Chief Medical Officer who expressly said that elderly hospital patients shouldn’t be discharged back to Care Homes without first having a negative Covid test. This is a matter of record.
On top of that, as if ignoring the country’s Chief Medical Officer isn’t bad enough he also dismissed the concerns of the largest care homes providers in the U.K. They outlined what would happen if untested people were discharged back to care homes and the Chief Medical Officer backed it up with the science.
There is no way he can say that he wasn’t made aware of exactly what would happen, and it did happen. Tens of thousands of people died needlessly often under appalling circumstances and in great distress and pain.
Matt Hancock, Boris Johnson, Pizza Truss and Raab sum up this Tory Government.
A bunch of Bullshitters, Liars, Grifters, Charlatans and Insincere parasites.
Just reading the ‘Boris at 10’ book at the moment, and my god, even if half was true they truly are a useless bunch of self serving fuckers.
No idea what to do at any point, no attention to detail, just panic and lies. Hancock making stuff up on the fly, Boris choosing to believe him as he hates conflict or ‘managing’ people.
All should be investigated, let the body’s pipe high.
Prosecutor considering immunity: No, I don’t think I will.
Matt HanCock does sound a tad guilty. But of course, he cared more about enriching his friends.
While he might not be 100% responsible for every death, it was his policy that allowed untested patients into care homes in the first place. It was a disaster waiting to happen and an understaffed NHS was never going to be able to cope with the fallout. It is negligence at least and he clearly knows it.
This is what fucked me off so much about the whole affair/I’m a Celeb horseshit. Everyone kept banging on about “not social distancing/not following the rules you set” and I honestly didn’t give a shit. Fuck who you want to fuck, you’re a fucking adult (in principle). No, the thing *EVERYONE* should’ve focused on is that under his watch, elderly people were needlessly exposed to a deadly virus and thousands died. Not a few here and there, *twenty fucking thousand* needless deaths due to the policy HE signed off. If you want to be the top dog, you need to accept the blowback when you fuck up, and this was a BIG fuck-up.
No good good telling lawyers what you want Matt old chap, you have, once again been rumbled, it’s time to pay your dues…
Too right “Jungle Boy” ! Im gonna cry for you the shabby way the ungreatful Plebs are turning on you. You were only playing your part as Minister ,it took some “Balls”to go on telly and have a “chuckle”,,er em? Cry about it. Mazalopan Matt,we feel for YA!.
