I found this with a metal detector in western Ukraine. I can’t figure out what it is, maybe you have any ideas? Sorry if anything is wrong with this post!

  1. What kind of metal is it? If it is lead, then it is most probably a tamper-proofing seal. If it is brass or pewter it could be decorative, like a badge.

  2. It’s a lead seal. Some wires were closing something and at the end there was lead seal placed to prevent from (or alert about) tampering/opening. (to open whatever was closed you would need to cut off the seal). Placed on doors, chests, handles etc.

    Eagle looks like modern one but can be also from II RP 1918-45

    here you have something similar but with PRL (communism) time eagle (without crown)

  3. lead seal with the emblem of the Second Polish Republic. a large part of Ukraine was part of Poland

  4. Idk perhaps it was a coin die to mint groszy? Maybe someone just messed with a coin and that’s how it turned out
