Looking for advice

hey there! I’m a recent college graduate from a small town here in Portugal. I have a temporary residence permit that lasts 3 years.

I’m currently looking for ways to get an ADHD diagnosis. I’ve gone my whole life thinking I was malfunctioning and simply not built to live life to the fullest. If you’re unfamiliar with ADHD, it’s much more than ‘not being able to pay attention and sit still’, it includes time-blindness, emotional deregulation, anxiety, the list goes on. I’ve included a video to help illustrate the effects of ADHD in women. 🙂

Anyway, I’ve tried therapy that public healthcare provides, but that didn’t work out given that the only advice I ever received was ‘Take deep breaths and try to focus’. 😵‍💫

Do any of you know of a psychiatrist who’d be willing to diagnose me who won’t have me paying through the nose? Since Ive just recently graduated, I’m still in the process of looking for a job. I am lucky that my family supports most of my expenses but I’m really struggling to get a decent therapist for a reasonable amount.
