It’s cute that folks with their 2×2 square metre gardens think they’re saving the planet because they let their grass grow a bit.
tf is no mow may?
So nice.
Our surprises have been cat shits.
No mow may?
Nó nín may.
9 inches never fails to impress
Really thought it was magic mushrooms for a minute😂😂
Gave in and mowed the garden today, mostly weeds
Keep going everyone. My parents have been doing this to a large part of the garden for a few years, and the diversity has increased almost two fold from what I remember it was growing up: several new small bird species, red squirrels, solitary wasps, foxes and even a pine martin. Growing native trees really helps if you can.
Jesus this just reminded me I haven’t seen a daisy in a very long time. Nearly a childhood memory now.
Is this really a thing? Not mowing lawns for May? What happens in June when it’s 2 feet high?
“ARGH!!! THE LAWNMOWER CAN’T F**LIG HANDLE IT! June…”

It’s lovely to see.
Woke up this morning to see a fox curled up fast sleep in the back garden among the long grass.
Cool!
It was a shame when I realised no mow may was a personal commitment not something the government and councils committed to.
