Hi, first of all thank you for any response. I am in a desperate situation where I cannot find an apartment and my tenancy contract is ending. I find it really frustrating that every place i move into provides only a fixed period contract and I am forced to keep moving. I have requested my current landlord (a subletting company) to renew my contract but they said they will not be renewing the contract for the current room however, i can move into any other rooms, which are priced much higher. I just would like to know if this is really legal in Germany where i am requesting to renew and this is the second apartment in two years that is denying me just to increase the rents every year.
