Yeah, all that it takes is a stupidly generous EV subsidy and punitive taxes on ICE. But remove either the stick or the carrot and things will flip back to normal.
Meanwhile, Norway is the first crude oil exporter in Europe by a wide margin
So, you’re telling me it is possible.
It just takes a shit ton of cash. Gotcha.
How about for us mere mortals?
Not shitting on Norway, but an actual question for poor people.
Wasn’t their whole EV infrastructure funded by fossil fuel sales?
Sorta like culling the poor to solve world hunger.
Norway sells all the fossil fuel to Europe and the world they live on Hydro power and get richer and richer.
No wonder they all have E cars,E bikes, and E everything but they still get drunk outside Norway as they have no E Beer.
Of course. Because they have very high taxes for conventional vehicles (including taxes when you buy one). The government forces people to buy EV’s. It’s not a choice.
Norway is to EU, what is EU to world. Exporting dirty stuff and importing other stuff that is cheaper than it would if produced in Norway/EU. Therefore, saving money for green technologies.
Disruptive technology always wins in the long run. E-engines have a higher efficiency than combust. But go on hating…feed that horse a carrot.
Switching to EVs is not just about carbon emissions and climate change.
ICE cars are hot, noisy, and smelly. Switching to all EVs will go a long way towards improving the livability of cities and suburbs. Without ICE cars, you’ll be able to open windows and enjoy being outside in places that are currently spoiled by ICE cars. EVs are so quiet that they actually add an artificial low rumble to let you know that they’re coming. When they’re at a light, they make zero noise.
Easy to do with HPP all over country… Also they fake green. Make billions of billions dollar from oil and gas. Pretend to be green country of Europe.
With batteries is like producer is responsible for environment damage. Should be same with oil, gas etc.
