  1. Good stuff. Currently looking at going live at the end of the decade.

Would be good if the timescale could be condensed.

  2. Would be nice to see things like this reflected in the energy bills of people living in Scotland , given how much renewable energy we’re producing we should be paying less.

  3. Excellent news! taking Scotland for scale (and it’s local), that could power the majority of homes in the country at normal use for 24 hours. Great thing to soak up high bursts of wind/solar and release slowly when needed. More of this and maybe work on some very local redox flow/sodium ion batteries and we have some increasingly clean, safe and distributed energy solutions

  4. Great , I wonder how much my energy will cost when this white elephant folly is built? £500 per month , £750?

  5. Also helps at half time at the FA Cup or World Cup, when everyone puts on the electric kettle for a cuppa.

  6. Great to see this energy storage system being developed, will make renewable energy more useful. It can store excess renewable energy in off peak hours and deliver back at peak times. – For example that from wind turbines over night.
