Some designer takes on the traditional German/Austrian/South Tyrolean Dirndl

  1. I hate that dirndl & lederhosen are basically the only recognized traditional German clothing, even though it’s pretty much just a Bavarian & BaWü thing, and also not even that old.

  2. Dont use thin/athletic models for dirndl, that just doesn’t work.
Dirndl look better the more malleable stuff the woman has and there isnt even an upper limit to this.
Put an obese woman in a dirndl and she looks so hot.
Put a thin woman in a dirndl and it looks like a Canvas bag.

  3. Doesn’t look good honestly.

Just buy a traditional trachten with a blouse of your choice. Even better if you buy one that is prevalent in your own region, because it has the cultural aspect as well. (For instance the blue-dot Dirndl in Carinthia)

Also, by choosing a blouse yourself you can decide how much clevage you want to show.
