First Irish movie to win an award at Cannes The General was released 25 years ago today Tags:ireland 5 comments I completely forgot Jon Voight was in this, time for a rewatch! This was good. The other one with Kevin Spacey, Ordinary Decent Criminal, was, and still is, one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Brilliant movie and being shot in black and white suits the movie for some reason. Heard there is a colour version out there but never came across it And we’ve dropped in quality so hard since. Interesting trivia, the reason John Boorman made the movie is because Martin Cahill burgled his house in Wicklow. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
