Well I think it doesn’t surprise anyone that the countries in red are rich and don’t give out citizenship like post cards.
This map is terrible. It’s unclear what immigrant population refers to, there is no source, no year and the label on the left should say „>20%“
Switzerland has 39 % foreigners.
This map indicates that people like to migrate to rich countries.
It should say whether immigrant means legal foreigner or foreign born person. The second one would be the better choice since immigration laws are different in different countries.

Rather interesting how two countries with the highest immigrant population are in top three of GDP per capital (PPP).
