Boom. Roasted
It’s not even likely, it’s (almost) certain. Greenwashing is real.

Finally.
So much misinformation from companies trying to convince consumers that they can buy from them and still be green.
And yet people act as though they don’t need to buy less from companies to deal with climate change. We all know that these companies are making things up to make consumers feel better about continuing to consume at unsustainable levels.
As though people still buying climate-polluting lifestyles en masse isn’t a reason why climate pollution continues to rise year on year.
Stop hiding behind greenwashing and acting as though only companies and governments should act to save our survivable future ‘because it’s not fair to blame us for still consuming at unsustainable levels.’
Reduce, reuse, recycle. All the rest is greenwashing bullshit.
Stop accepting excuses for yourselves.
Good, fuck shell and all of the oil companies. They should be paying for all the damage they have done not making more money than ever
they should just change the colour of the shell from yellow to green. that’s my idea so pay up shell ©️™
I don’t get ASA position. It sound like company can’t promote a product because it is not company main product.
Rare UK W?
I remember that ‘The Great Travel Hack’ show in which they set out the most ridiculous ways to not take public transportation and push a car-dependent society. It was extremely painful to watch.
You go UK!
Excellent stuff from the ASA.
Greenwashing is outright deception which leads to people making purchasing decisions which they otherwise may not have made, lying to consumers isn’t acceptable.
Unfortunately the ASA will have a bit of a task on their hands tackling this as it’s rife across so many industries and the main culprits are generally huge companies with very deep pockets.
I work for a small company who sell sustainable products into the construction industry, our competitors are vast multinationals, without judgements like this small companies along with real innovation quickly get crushed.
Rare UK W right here
