Found this chonky boy while walking with my gf. It started approaching us when my gf said “kici”
I believe this one was cared with love by one of our neighbors, considering how well he was fed and condition of his fur. Anyone looking after any local stray cat in this subreddit?

Yep. They can always have a warm night in my open cellar. If I see they have eyes and nose disease I give them medication from vet in their food. And those who are friendly stays inside the house and become my models

Are those strays? A lot of people just let their cats out from time to time.
You can (at least in Warsaw) register as cat feeding point, they even give cat food sometimes.
Also there are city programs that castrate free living cats for free.
Or organisations like Koteria do this for free.
Usually castrated cats have tip of their ear trimmed so you can recognise it.
I have never noticed any strays in urban Poland. What I have noticed is that some buildings/blocks have local cats that are taken care of by everyone, sort of like community property. I’ve seen several signs with pictures of the cats in question indicating that they are not strays and to please don’t steal them.
There are tons of city free cats that get fed, vaccinated and get medical help when needed but are left roaming free without owners. They help with pest control in the cities. If the cat you meet looks ok then it’s either someones cat that’s taking a stroll or one of these free cats. It’s the ones that look sick, hurt or famished that you should report.
It doesn’t look stray, it is really well kept chunky boi. A lot of people have cats that are allowed to walk out. And do not have collars, because a collar is actually dangerous to a free roaming cat.
i’m an enthusiast! love to stop and pet these honorary citizens c:
He seems too white to be a stray. Mother has few strays around home that are kept fed by other locals. Some are megachonkers, seem clean but are nowhere near that white. He seems like somebody’s cat on stroll. Also none of them allows my mother to come close they are too skittish. Only those locals that feed them are allowed to touch however they are still reserved with the contact.
That’s just one cat though
Not really a stray, but there is a cat in the flower shop in Bydgoszcz, that just hangs around the shop and the pavement 😂. Mind you, the owner had to hang a sign that says that the cat is not a stray, and the big belly is not there because she is pregnant, so don’t feed her 😂😂
In a lot of bigger cities those cat’s aren’t homeless per say. Where I used to live, the management of the building gives money to a woman to take care of them. They get food, they get taken to the vet when needed and they have free entrance to warm basements. The reason is simple, rats and fleas used to live there, it wasn’t nice at all. Then some one noticed that there was less of both when cats started to hang around. So they’re more like outdoor cats.
Wish I could take them. (I have too many cats already).
I took care of two strays, my mum’s bf got one too and there is one we know from birth.
He’s so chubby! 😻😻😻
A stray cat is an invasive species that destroys the ecosystem by killing birds and rodents that naturally live in the area. they should not be fed.
to fat to be a stray
