I love Poland for its diversity, over 1000 years of history, nature. It’s like a colorful bird. Unusual stylization of the hermit’s cave – simply amazing! Supraśl and the phenomenal Museum of Icons.

I try to show that Poland is a wonderful country that has been through a lot, but overcame many adversities. I stay away from politics. I am happy that on this Reedit platform I can show what is worth seeing in my country. Photos of wonderful icons, the monastery and Supraśl, where they serve the best traditional borderland cuisine, you can find on my website [Supraśl](https://gotopoland.net/suprasl,m5,s314.html) Maybe someone will be interested in this small, but charming town 🙂
As a person who originally is from another EU country – one that follows Orthodox Christianity rather than Catholic Christianity – thank you for this post.
I’ve never heard of this museum before, and I was surprised to the Byzantine-style Christian art in the photo. I went on a small googling spree and I’d definitely want to visit it sometime.
If you’re into icons, I’d also recommend vising the [Historical Museum in Sanok](http://www.muzeum.sanok.pl/en/informacje/o-muzeum). All the icons there are medieval, Early Modern and local.
Plus all that insane Zdzisław Beksiński art.
