In London, the figure was almost 3,900 – more than double the number a week earlier.”
Better news on omicron severity, it’s looking increasingly likely the hospitalisation ratio will be lower although there is a wide spread of figures being quoted. But we could still see a very sharp peak of hospitalisations across the country at a time when health services are understaffed. Expect to see operations cancelled and long waits at A&E.

Oh yeah, we did demand that GP’s and outpatient clinics return to a mostly face to face service whilst still in a pandemic. Who could possibly have foreseen this coming.
Good things it’s proven to be less serious than previous strains, 7 days off and back to it.
