Damn, something similar happened today as well at the Crown Plaza in Blanchardstown
It’s Falcon’s view and not Crown plaza…
Fortunately no celebrities were involved.
Was fairly mental how fast this spread. I popped into the maxizoo in front of here. Not a jot happening. Came out about 3 mins later and could smell smoke. Looked up and there was black smoke pouring out and could see flames on 2 floors. Scary really
Ruth Coppinger from People Before Profit got a 5 or 6 minute slot on Morning Ireland to toss out all sorts of accusations about the fire. Lots more people made homeless than being admitted, rapidly consumed five floors so questions about fire standards, potentially dangerous high rise buildings like this all over the place, working people abandoned, no contents insurance, etc etc etc.
The poor actual expert from Dublin Fire Brigade who was actually there and knew what he was talking about only got about 1 minute to share facts before they moved onto the raving rumours of Ruth.
RTE will have Paul Murphy on cookery shows and Bride Smith presenting a quiz show next.

Was a very swift response by the fire department, fair play to them!
A cherrypicker has been brought in and they are now spraying the worst affected floors.
