Matt Hancock claims £3,000 in rent from YOU for flat left empty during I’m A Celeb stint

  1. “Man keeps paying rent even when on holiday” is kind of a softball for a man who forced covid patients back into carehomes.

How about we hate him for the mass murders instead of mocking what he chooses to do on his holidays?

  2. Who do you think pays for all 650 London flats during all their parliamentary breaks and personal holidays?

  3. THIS is how it should be reported

It’s literally US and We and You. It’s not government money or treasury money

It’s always OUR money and better reporting of it might stoke the appropriate amount of rage over things like the hundreds of billions in PPE and assorted other Tory thefts from us personally

  4. He killed thousands of people through his actions. He should be in prison. I don’t care about hearing anything else. This is fuck all compared to that. Lock him up.

  5. As an ex-self employed person I’ll defend MP’s rights to claim food and shelter for work until the cows come home, but if I wasn’t working away from home there’s no way I could claim rent as an expense through the business without invoking the wrath of the taxman. This chancing prick needs to be subject to the same rules

  6. Plenty can be said about the man, but as a public worker, we seriously need to stray away from the whole “I pay taxes, so I pay your salary, I own you” attitude.

  7. There are so many reasons to criticise the Tories, but “man pays rent even when travelling abroad” isn’t one of them.

Come on guys, we’re better than this.

  8. In theory the government should just own a block of flats near the building that the MPs are allowed to use when in town, how practical that would actually be I don’t know.

  9. I don’t hate many people, I don’t have time to hate people, I find it’s a horrible thing to do, to invest my own time in hating someone.

But Matt Hancock, I absolutely despise. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire. I would run across a busy road to tell him how much I despise his existence. I look at him and I don’t see a person, I see a cowering waste of flesh and bone. My grandfathers blood is on his hands. The blood of 226000 are on his hands, his and his buddies in parliament, every person he helped make a pretty penny at the expense of the general public
