Killer whale threw British sailor’s yacht around ‘like rag doll’ in latest attack

  1. Ok.

Well that’s their natural behaviour in their natural environment. They belong there, we are simply entering their space.

    That’s the risk you take!

  2. I don’t like Orcas, they had a great PR department in the 90’s with ‘Free Willy’ which convinced everyone they were cute things like a big black and white dolphin but after watching Attenborough it turns out they are evil bastards.

Even sharks are scared of them.

  3. Did they kill the humans aboard ? If not then it’s literally nothing of concern , I’m not surprised they tip smaller boats.

  4. Unfortunately the end of this is when they kill these Orcas and lots of others as well.

Because the ocean and everything else on this planet belongs to people, especially those rich enough to own boats and insurance companies.

Edit – ocean going boats that Orcas would attack, not small boats which even the poor can afford to tow, dock etc.

  5. I’m hearing these attacks are revenge attacks. They are extremely intelligent animals, more so than perhaps we can even comprehend. It would sicken me to the core if they started trying to kill them in response to this.

  6. Firmly Team Whale on this one. We can’t fuck with something called a *KILLER* Whale and their habitat for this long and get surprised when it tries to kill us.

  7. Unfortunately there will be only one winner in this and it won’t be the Whales. People with yachts have money…People with money have influence…its a matter of time before this whale is euthanized.

  8. Man those “Killer Whales” are bad tempered. Who’d thought an animal called Killer Whales wouldn’t be sweet and nice….

  9. The Swarm on Sky (Sci-fi series) is all about ocean creatures getting back at humans for fucking up the sea. Highly recommend if you’re into that sorta thing… It starts with whales!!

  10. This just in, animals in the wild are wild. Should you enter their homes? Find out here on the obvious news, but first does nature deserve to be left alone?

  11. “Attack”?
You mean what anybody or thing does when you start fucking around in their back gardens.

  12. There is a book called The Deep it’s quite a few years old now, but one scene has a whole pod of Orcas that attack a bunch of sight seeing vessels, its one hell of a chapter!!! A bit disconcerting seeing it becoming actual behaviour.

  13. I agree with the few comments I’ve seen… It’s their natural habitat. You disturb them in their homes and expect some sort of response. It’s like when people say ‘shark infested waters’… No, sharks only live in water, so the water isn’t infested with them. It’s where they can only live 😂
