European gas prices hit record as Russian flows via Yamal reverse

  1. Good. Now it is time for politicians and industry owners to rethink the strategy and move to resouces available locally.

  2. Contrasting stances regarding Russia isn’t gonna help anyone. You can’t act one way regarding foreign policy, then expect them to cooperate well in terms of resource trade

  3. >Two big German customers said Gazprom was meeting supply obligations.

    Meanwhile

    >Some western politicians and industry experts have accused Russia of withholding gas deliveries to Europe amid political tensions over Ukraine, as well as delays in the certification of another pipeline, Nord Stream 2.

    So baseless accusation as usual.

    Pathetic.

  4. How many European countries have a price cap set by a regulator for household consumption? Just noticed that the wholesale price is nearly 4 times what I pay now in the UK as we have a price cap, essentially it allows utility companies to profit when the wholesale price is low, but they have to take a hit when wholesale prices are high. This has caused a number of smaller energy suppliers to go bust.

  5. Genuine question. What do people expect Russia to do in this situation given that Gazprom is delivering all the contracted volume to it’s customers.
