Hello all, I know there have been other GYM cancellation posts lately, so I am sorry for kinda repeating. So while reading that post, I saw a new law change for contracts after 1 March 2022 is cancellable in one month period.

My situation is: My gym is a chain gym in Hamburg and contracts are for 3 Months period. But the next term renews 6 weeks before the end date. Recently they changed the gym closing hours and the new hours were not suitable for me because of personal preference. But I learned about the new hours after the 6 periods notice which was May 19 for the period between July-September. I sent them an email on the 31st of May, that I want to cancel because of the new hour policy. Today, I have received this answer from them:

According to our Statute, § 3 (2), it is permissible to leave at the end of a calendar quarter with a notice period of 6 weeks.
Therefore, we should have received your notice of cancellation by May 19, 2023, so that the cancellation would still be effective by June 30, 2023.
Accordingly, the withdrawal date is September 30, 2023, wherefore we are accepting your e-mail as a cancellation to that date.

What should I write to them back? Like how can I state the new law in a non-threatening way because I don’t want this to end up in court? Also, I may not understand correctly the new law, since I translated it into English and then read it. Am I in the correct position?
What other actions do you suggest?
