I wouldn’t worry about it – if you go in front of a judge it’s a suspended sentence anyway by default, crime is basically legal.

The funding cuts to Legal Aid are shocking. The absorption of the Legal Aid Agency in the Ministry of Justice was poorly executed and they are poorly represent in the wider MOJ. When fund cuts come around they slash the LAA and give everyone else a few %.
This is not a new thing. Legal aid has been ludicrous for a very long time, and when you win, they will only pay your legal fees back at legal aid rates, so being found not guilty still costs you a bloody fortune.
