Why the networks are worried about anti-vaxxer backlash is beyond me, it’s just a text, they’ll get over it.
They can go piss off. What’s the point in a booster when it wears off after 10 weeks. Waste of time and effort if you keep needing a booster jab every 10 weeks. Have your 2 jabs and you’ll be fine. I know 4 people now who have all had their booster and all have covid whereas myself I’ve had 2 and still no covid.
This is potentially heading towards a no negative test vaccine passport that requires 2 jabs and a booster – hence the push of messaging re booster jab.
Other European countries already have vaccine passports that don’t accept negative tests.
I don’t really support this but on the other hand am sure gunna be interested to see how my unvaccinated colleagues react
Can’t wait to see tweets along the lines of ‘I’ve been with Vodafone for 18 years but this is the final straw, I’m moving to another netwo…oh’
In the Netherlands the goverment can send an SMS to everyone or to everyone in a certain area. And it did at the start of the pandemic telling to keep 1,5 meters apart.
I got a message on the 17th saying “You are eligible for a booster jab. Lots of appointments in [your town here]”.
I’ve had like 30 texts already (exaggerating, but only slightly).
I have my booster booked, I don’t need any more text messages about it.
Not a fan of forced messages unless there is an immediate local emergency. This isn’t, and also accomplishes fuck all as everyone knows about boosters apart from maybe one bloke in the Highlands who won’t get signal anyway.
