  1. I don’t know what it is about Bristol. Kids regularly hang out above the Bristol – Bath cycle path and drop rocks on cyclists. What the hell is their thought process, because it is transport it is just a bit of fun? Would they drop bricks off a roof onto pedestrians wandering by?

  2. What the fuck is wrong with people!? Some 20 years ago, my friend crashed his motorbike (he was fine, just a few scrapes) because someone dropped a bottle on him from a bridge.

  3. I remember a story like this in Germany, thrown by kids, where the driver died. I think killing someone is a perfectly expected outcome for something like this.

  4. I passed the aftermath of this on the other side of the road shortly after it happened.

The brick or rock that they threw went straight through the windscreen on the drivers side. I was glad to see the driver and passenger were walking away from it (although into an ambulance) and that it didn’t cause any further car crashes.

No sign of the culprits when we went passed.

Hopefully they find the person/people who did it. Loads of people drive under and walk over that footbridge every day.

  5. Good, this happened to me almost 30 years ago with a vacuum cleaner. The motor out a huge hole into the front of my car.

  6. I imagine kids think this is just a prank that might cause some damage to the car at worst. They know dropping the brick will do some damage but do not realise how bad that damage can be, both to the car and the person. Teenagers are not great at thinking through the consequences of their actions, so are only concerned about how cool it will look at the time.

  7. Happened to us once with our kids in the car. On the m5 north brick fell into our bonnet close to the windscreen and bounced off . Pulled over called the police . Later the insurance company. Bonnet replaced but life saved

    Idiots
