Aight cuz we really believe our politicians or the Chinese Government lol
>China has denied operating any such stations and issued a statement contesting Tugendhat’s remarks via its embassy in London, saying the accusations of running police posts in the UK were a “complete political lie”
then:
>“The Chinese Embassy have subsequently responded that all such stations have closed permanently. Any further allegations will be swiftly investigated in line with UK law.“
That’s proper gaslighting. Now they said they are closed, we can rest assured 😉
Are they stupid?
Tl;dr – China claims that it did not engage in any illegal activities and was unaware of any that were. It also claims to have stopped doing any activities that were not legal and demands that no one mention its purported lack of knowledge of any illegal activities that it has stopped.
Please reassure me that the UK isn’t really that stupid!?
How did the NSA miss China having police stations all over the world for so long?
If our government is unable to identify actual Chinese operations at home, what is the point of allowing them to spy on us?
Given the recent activities of the Metropolitan Police regarding freedom of political protest, how do we know Scotland Yard isn’t a Chinese police station?
I’m sure MI5 are as surprised by this statement as everyone else is
Might be worth taking a thorough look at some of the Chinese student unions at campuses around Britain. Many of them are directly funded and controlled by the CCP in order to keep check on Chinese students abroad. They often quite openly threaten or harass Taiwanese students and report back on any potential anti-CCP actions. One reason the UK has done very little about this in the past is due to the hundreds of millions Chinese students pay annually in fees. It’s a real sellout area of British incompetence and values.
I assume China swore both “down” and on their “mum’s life”
Shouldn’t have fucking had them in the first place. They wouldn’t like UK unofficial police stations over there.
