…hopefully.

Middle kid broke her thumb yesterday while riding a BMX at a school sports thing (sportdag).

Now she has a cast till the end of the month and she looks like [this kid](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AJq0-zHjzW8/hqdefault.jpg) all day long

  1. Colleagues husband is in jail in Spain.

After getting into an argument with squatters in their Barcelona appartement.

And now they apparently can’t get them out.

  2. I don’t mind working for my current employer, I like my team but fucking hell do I hate my actual job.

Thinking about leaving since they’re not really helping me switch to a position I’ve been wanting for 2 years now but it’s quite scary to go work in a new place when the people here know me, know of my chronic illness and I can organise my time pretty well with these people.

But I feel like the stress of not doing what I enjoy is also having a negative effect on my chronic illness…

I am considering leveraging my position with an outside offer but I’m not sure if that’s the right move long term…

  3. So i watch this [video about a guy who emailled every embassy for a flag](https://youtu.be/Jbix9y8iV38)
And i just felt so heartwarmed about it. Usually i dont get that. And someone sended him the flag of flanders aswel aswel as the tourist flag of flanders. Wich i tought was generous.

And then i watched [the followup video](https://youtu.be/NjXGqU8IA18) and well…the memes and such were great. Australians enforcing their rights to send flags. Serbia being serbia. China being so passively aggressive.

And then came the 12:00 mark when someone sended “the real flag of flanders”

And i admit i bursted into laughter. Because just like many other flags spaghetti recieved, he doesnt know the context behind it…

  4. What’s up with entitled drivers?
A while ago, I was on the autostrade on the left lane passing some cars and a truck. One guy was stuck behind a truck, but had his indicator on and nobody let him in the left lane. When I passed, he had his middle finger against his window. It’s not because you have your indicator on, that everyone needs to slow down for you.

This morning, some guy was in a street on the left and he wanted to turn to his left. But there were roadworks going on, so he had to wait until someone let him pass from the other lane. Nobody let him pass, so he put his finger against the windshield.

    Interesting people.

  5. Got an appointment for an RX and echo of my hip later on… Fingers crossed it’s just tendonitis!
In general I don’t have an issue with getting older but it’s frustrating when your mind still feels young and your body is going “Nope! You’re not!”.

A friend is passing by later on, thinking of getting sushi for lunch for both of us…

  6. The pain an d taste of blood are gone, yay!

I went to see the latest Transformers movie yesterday. Nothing special, but I had a good time. Next week I’ll be seeing The Flash and Asteroid City. Should be fun.

  7. Resisted the urge to download Tinder again, my self esteem will be okay for longer!

Meanwhile the signing of the house I’m buying at the notary can’t come soon enough, already want to buy so much stuff the garden and having so many ideas while I don’t even know they’ll actually fit (it’s a really narrow but very long garden)….

All of the inside decorations, I don’t really care about apparently…

  8. Ah yes, reminds me of the time when my sister’s middle finger was infected and she constantly flipped everybody off.

Did some exercises for my exam. See where the gaps of my knowledge are and what I need to study better. Let’s just say that I’m glad the exam is more than a week away since it didn’t go well yet.

  9. Oh gosh I hope so. My 15yo is returning from their first (and last?) overnight backpacking trip today. I hope he doesn’t go no contact with us.

  10. Without incidents? I literally got ran over by a van going backwards until he heard my bike’s front wheel crack. Sorry, it’s With Incidents Wednesday.

He did the maneuver because ING’s bank truck stopped right in front of him and he needed to go around it. So we can now collectively hate ING for once again causing issues, right? /s

I’m good, though. Just some cuts. Dude was nice, filled all the documents, with the help of the autism support center for it was just two streets away. I still feel guilty for being incapable of shouting my presence, or ringing – I broke the bell in panic – and being in a dead angle… I thought I saw a cycle path on his right, but stopped as I saw it was just a bus stop. Tried to back off, but he backed off faster than I could.

Now, the bike is 100% dead, the front wheel and the front part of the frame are bent. I don’t know how one disposes of an unusable bike. Can anyone tell me?

I guess I’ll eat frituur stuff tonight. Was supposed to go to Colruyt but yeah, not doing that without a bike. Would maybe do that with a leg that’s not cut everywhere. I won’t survive it like this though.

  11. Nearly faceplanted in the train yesterday, damn new trains having a step immediately outside the interior door. Train conductor saw it too. Mortified. But he was nice about it so I’ll live.

So on Sunday I had food poisoning. Today we are Wednesday and my gut still hasn’t settled. Putting myself on a BRAT diet to see if I can get it to calm down. This is awful.
