I have a question about the DF buses. Sincerely, I have never seen such a bus on the road. What is the purpose of those lines? Do they actually operate? Why would anyone need a separate line from Floriana to Valletta? Are these free or not really? I cannot find any info online.

  1. I think DF refers to Daily Fare, however I think it would be past to check public transport website for further clarification.

  2. I think those are the routes buses take to/from a bus depot when the drivers’ shifts change. DF might be short for Depot Floriana, there’s also DM for the one in Marsa, and probably others. I don’t know if they would allow you to board (and if not, why they’re on Google Maps).

  3. I was asking myself the same question. Makes sense that it’s for Floriana depot or marsa Depot. I’m just wondering if the bus drivers can take those times serious 😆
