Regardless of what Hungary says the migration pact is to do with people entering border countries and using Schengen to travel to interior EU countries (e.g. Germany and Sweden).
Although Ireland is an “interior” EU country insofar that we are far away from the Middle East, Russia, and Africa we are in practice a border country because people simply just fly here. We should be able to avail of the fund for dealing with refugees and similarly have the fast track refusal of obvious bogus applicants.
