Poor sheep. The owner must be letting their dog do this for sport.
Looks unusual and therefore recognisable though. Hopefully they are caught.
She’s actually a sweetheart when you get to know her.
Dog owners might want to remember that farmers can legally shoot dogs they deem to be a threat to their livestock. The owner might cry foul and claim Ripper would never hurt a fly, however a dog that is actively attacking sheep, or even worrying them, is likely to be shot. Everyone and their mums is packing ’round there anyway.
There was an article about these dogs attacking sheep on the Farmers Weekly website at the weekend. Sad to hear there’s been another attack since.
It’s so weird that the same dogs have been attacking sheep for several days now. Normally when you hear about sheep worrying incidents it’s irresponsible dogwalkers who haven’t put their dog on a lead, or whose dogs have briefly given them the slip somehow.
I wonder if these dogs are lost, or if there’s a negligent owner in the area who’s letting them roam freely?
