Lynx Dunnes was €9 special offer €4.50
Supervalu €8.99 (I’ve seen it half price before)
Tesco €7.50 clubcard price €4.50

Tesco had this as €9, they seem to have just dropped it. So maybe the complaining works.

Tesco aren’t inventing inflated prices for the clubcard offers.

All you have to do is check Dunnes and Supervalu to see they price check each other!

  1. When did Body sprays get so expensive?

Like did it happen overnight sometime in the last year or two?

  2. I did a price check of my local Tesco. Everything was at least double the price of my local Lidl. The only exception was the butter, which was price matched.

Of course I never shopped in Tesco again. But not everyone has the option to travel further to get to the next supermarket.

I do believe shops can be legislated to stop gouging. I made proposals [here](https://old.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/13do0yt/four_ways_to_reduce_grocery_price_inflation/) (because the government has none) and asked for more proposals in the comments.

  3. What other products were checked apart from a can of deodorant?

Was it all regular items (the ones that they have been accused of price fixing) or were there other items in this survey?

  4. Surprised to see someone here who did an actual price check, fair play.

I’ve done it twice myself Tesco v Dunnes across various items and they come out the same every time. Have seen some discrepancies but it went both ways so swings and roundabouts.

Clowns on here just listening to the echo chamber instead of actually looking for themselves.
