The ItsMe scams are ultra-active around christmas, I’m getting them every so often
I think they’re more of a phishing attempt to get to your money rather than identity teft
The links are always dead giveaways. Like in this case, why would a message from itsme direct you to a completely different site and not their own.
Another clear giveaway are the numbers the messages are sent from. Not a short 4-digit number, but a normal 10-digit cellphone number. You can check on 1299.be, where it will tell you it’s a prepaid card.
This can either be identity theft or “normal” phishing, as a lot of banks also use itsme as a way to log in for online banking.
I get those as well. Annoying but quite obvious.
Yup
Link naar een website die duidelijk niet van itsme is, zelfs geen be website. Als tip :ga altijd manueel naar de website zelf en log daar in. Als het legitiem is zal je dat ook daar zien als bericht.
Itsme NEVER sends you a text message
>Phishing alert
>Opgepast voor valse itsme® e-mails of sms’en die vragen voor een heractivatie van je account of melding maken van een verdachte login.
itsme® vraagt je nooit via mail of sms om je account te heractiveren.
We sturen ook geen berichten rond een update vanuit service@itsme.be
i get this shit constantly, don’t even have an ItsMe account
Yup got it too and clicked on it.
Even tho i do IT stuff i still clicked but obv didnt put any info in.
Just always look at the url. Just clicking doesnt matter tho so dw
Very obvious scam…. I feel sorry for the 1 out of 10,000 who falls for it….
It’s an IQ test. They get sent out a lot. Check you re-mail for more examples.
It has “pay” in the name so i assume it is
Full phone number, comma in the wrong place, random url, yet people *are still unsure whether it is a scam*. No fucking wonder they continue getting away with this shit.
I love how they never manage to get the dutch quite right. Uit voorzorgsmaatregelen? Volledige blokkade?
