The terms ‘paedophile’ and ‘prisoner’ have problematic connotations which impact marginalised groups, not necessarily the individual in this case, but the wider community that the person belongs to.
That’s why we’ve been suggesting, that as users discuss this topic, they avoid these problematic terms and encourage the use of the phrase ‘minor attracted person’ or ‘MAP’ and ‘person who has interacted with the justice system’.
