Hello, it’s me again.

I just got back to my home country and just caught up with some work this week, so I just found the time today to, as many recommended, to file a complaint against the restaurant. Thanks to the sticky comment, it was easy enough to google translate the whole list and follow it step by step. I did receive a PDF confirmation.

Before doing that I contacted the restaurant on facebook, they offered me to go back there for a free dinner or to reimburse me the excess. I was out of Prague by then so I offered my Paypal but they never got back to me. Guess that says something..

Again, huge thanks to all who responded. I’ll take some time this week to message thehonestguide, but feel free to refer him or her to my original post as others offered.

  1. I hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay here because it’s not that hard to have a ruined experience based on how many tourist traps there are in Prague’s center.

Ultimately, it’s great you made your experience public because tourists oftentimes just shrug it off as a little inconvenience but it hurts our reputation and even normalizes these scummy practices further which may spill over to practices towards ordinary Czechs.

We usually know to avoid these traps, one never knows.

  2. >they offered me to go back there for a free dinner or to reimburse me the excess.

Lol. Them scamming tourists is probably a common thing so I would just tell them to fuck themselves. Or not tell them anything and wait for ČOI + Honest Guide do their thing.
