Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I really took some time off. I got a book and made use of my apartment’s balcony in an effort to relax, read and do something about my ghostly white skin.
Laying down, marinated in sunscreen (I normally go from ghost to lobster in 15 minutes), I get the feeling I’m being watched, put my head up and find [this guy](https://imgur.com/a/TeXwGRP) staring straight at me!
I need to do this more!
Off to meet up with my Tai Chi group for dinner, slightly regretting now that I promised to come early to help and prepare everything in this heat.
Keep cool guys, or at least hydrated and covered in sunscreen! Good luck to anyone studying for exams!

It’s my birthday party this afternoon and people are canceling, because they go swimming or do other stuff. I’ll guess more pie for me.

The 24h of Le Mans have been interesting so far. It was crazy seeing them race in the rain at night yesterday. I went to bed just after the big crash with the #7 Toyota. I’m glad to see the NASCAR car is still there after waking up. Rexy is doing great!
I quickly went to the local Brico to get a ventilator just to have a bit of cooling on my body when it gets too hot while I decide in the meantime how I’ll fix the bigger problem with the windows.
Living in West Flanders, far away from the masses, has its benefits. Apparently there are hour-long waiting lines at the rwcreationa parks elsewhere in the country while I’m chilling in the shade at a very cosy dog-meadow where it’s not busy at all
Guitar neighbour has progressed to a very shabby ”Nothing Else Matters’ and a horrific attempt at ’Stairway to Heaven’.

Everyone will have a plethora of things in life where at some point there will be a final time you do said thing. You will have a final time where you jump, a final time you play your favourite game, a final time you climb a ladder, etc
For most of those we’re pretty much oblivious of that final time’s significance. It’s weird to now actually have a deadline where I’ll use Apollo (and baconreader before that) for a final time.

Why do I have trouble breathing with this temperature, when sitting in my house? I’ve got a dehumidifier in my room and also an air purifier. And I went for a run this morning with no problems.
I have a question for whoever lives in a penthouse with a good PEB (B or A) in a city (not countryside).
With the high temperatures such as in these days, how do you feel the heat? Is the insulation on the roof doing its work?
I am considering buying an apartment on the last floor of a building (new construction) and I was shocked to learn there would be NO airconditioning. It seems crazy to me in 2023 to not have airco. They would offer “double flux” systems, but I’m not sure how well they would perform with this heat.
Any feedback?
