‘The police told us that their hands are tied’: Videos depicting bullying incident in Luxembourg spread across social media

  1. As always excellent shitty RTL headline….

‘That same evening, the family filed a complaint with the police. “But the police told us straight away that their hands are tied because they were dealing with minors. And the juvenile detention centre is overcrowded,” said the woman, who wants to remain anonymous to protect her children.’

‘The section responsible for safeguarding minors within the judicial police has been tasked with conducting the investigation.’

So it isn’t like the police isn’t doing nothing. As the case involves minors it is important that the right people take care of this with the appropriate sensitivity.

  2. Has anyone seen this video? How could something like this happen publicly in the daytime? Very curious to know where that might have happened. It only takes one person to just shout/holler .. the perpetrators would usually back out in such cases (more often than not)

  3. Anyone have the videos showing the abusers face by chance? This is unacceptable and if the police aren’t gonna do anything like usual. I know people that will. They need to be taught a lesson.

  4. I once helped a girl who was surounded by a group of guys (dont want to go into details here).
But my try to persuade them to let her go ended in me being in hospital.
So my advice (and from the cops): always take a minute to fast call the cops before you interact in any situation. Even if you think the situation could be handled by just talking.

  5. while I feel greatly for the girl and am very happy that this spreads awareness, I find it so ridiculous that people are suddenly shocked and find it scandalous.
this entire incident is extremely sad and makes me so angry, but unfortunatly it is nothing new.
I’m turning 40 now and I’ll finally be starting a therapy soon and I have been were that girl is 25 and more years ago.
the only difference is that socialmedia did not exist and nobody had a camera in their pocket to film it. which yes puts an entire new layer on top.
but I and A LOT of other people I know from all ages experienced the same traumatuc events in their youth, mobbing beating domination, even sexual mistreatment by classmates that scar to this day.

and back then you could not do anything because there was ‘no proof’.if you thought back you were ususally blamed by grown ups or the police, and psycholigical help was ridiculed.

but I am very glad that nowadays children seem to be taken more seriously and can get help!

but I dare anybody to say “this is a complete new phenonon, the youth today is so bad, back in my day…” back in your day it was just as shit, just not on social media… and everyone who was not a victim, I dare them to reflect if they have never been the bully, active or passive, did you hell the victim? or did you just watch when you witnessed it?

    sorry /rant off

to the girl I send the biggest hug.

  6. Such a sad thing. I hope the perp gets the worst of what he deserves, and I hope the onlookers are fined heavily, so they ‘react’ next time.

    Alas, I can only hope.

  7. I understand that the law has problems to punish these teens because they are not of age yet but I think when you can not punish a person because he is minor you should punish him as a child. Punishments for children should be: Take away smart phones and gaming consoles. Social work (like picking up trash somewhere). Require social media companies to delete their profiles.

  8. Wow! This is depressing. The fact that bystanders were just watching is even more depressing. But the society in Luxembourg truly doesn’t care about youth and that has been proven again and again. The rampant use of drugs, alcohol, cigarette amongst teenagers, violence and bullying perpetuated by youngster, messed up education system, etc. doesn’t bother neither the politicians nor the society.

  9. “But the police told us straight away that their hands are tied because they were dealing with minors. And the juvenile detention centre is overcrowded”

Bruh, if your juvenile detention is overcrowded, this is the biggest proof that you should fucking do sth about it.

  10. Yeah nothing new. I was bullied for 14 years, so my entire school life, nobody helped. The perpetrators didn’t faced any consequences. Left me with chronic depression, ptsd and several „unalive“ attempts..

  11. Police is informed and theres a court affair waiting for the mobber-girl. The school she’s visiting also is discussing about throwing her off the school, same as the other boys seen in the video who cheer up the mobber-girl and who filmed the whole thing.

The video was shared everywhere in the whole Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and people quickly found out her name and her social medias. So you know what that means right?

Chances are high that Karma will be strong on this one, and Im very glad about this because a behavior like this never ever should be tolerated.

  12. I know it’s a crime to share the video so not expecting/wanting to see it but just wondering how everyone managed to see it. I don’t live under a rock, but every time I read about something going “viral” in Luxembourg I can’t find it anywhere.

  13. I am ususally very kind and supportive person. But I would like to share a few slaps to these little shitty excuses of a human beings. Bullies do not understand kindness. They understand only fighting back in the same way.
I have one at work. The only time she came at me, she got a taste of her medicine. She never again had this kind of attempt. They know how to choose victimes.

  14. when the government fails to protect, it’s time to arm up. If the government prevents you legally arm up, it’s time to note with your feet.
