I’ve read nice things about the fresh [Booker Prize winner Time Shelter](https://thebookerprizes.com/the-booker-library/features/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-winner-of-the-IBP-2023) \- how do Bulgarians like it? Is it revolutionary or more like boring? Is the author a favorite or just full of clichés? Would you recommend reading it?

99% of the people here (like in Bulgaria, not the subreddit) have no idea about this book.
A lot of people jumped on the hype train to buy it, but opinions seem mixed. I’ve read one of his previous books, from reviews I’ve seen it’s mostly the same and that’s why I don’t plan to read it and wouldn’t recommend it. Some people seem to like it, though confessing it’s a hard read, haven’t heard anyone say it’s revolutionary or anything. Maybe try for yourself.
It’s great. Wonderful.
P.S. Disclaimer, I have never read it, of course 😀
Boring.
Very, very boring.
Pretty much political award.
Like Grozdev`s oskar.
If we continue donating stuff to keep the war going on we might win Nobel prize as well.
I’m reading it right now great book
It’s a piece of crap. I read it and I can say this about only a handfull of books – it’s a complete waste of time.

Haven’t read it myself, but my father said he enjoyed it and something about needing to have lived during communism to really appreciate it.
