This driver put the maneuvre to the test: [https://www.hln.be/brugge/dashcambeelden-tonen-bestuurder-die-op-het-nippertje-afslag-wil-nemen-in-brugge-maar-dan-loopt-het-fout~a56e8004/](https://www.hln.be/brugge/dashcambeelden-tonen-bestuurder-die-op-het-nippertje-afslag-wil-nemen-in-brugge-maar-dan-loopt-het-fout~a56e8004/)
Driver is safe and well but lost 3cm of his carpenis.
Prime example of target fixation too.

Oh wow…I had a almost similar situation in France (though unintentional). Was passing a truck towing a caravan (circus or something) which was driving 35-40 km/h on the motorway with hazards on and our exit came up around the same time…I underestimated the length of the truck combo…
But big oof for the Golf driver…
A better example is the lady that did this exact manoeuvre trying to quickly overtake a semi only to find that there was a file on the exit. Car just exploded with junk all over the highway.
I think she survived tho.
