I catch people dumping their trash in the street quite often; either from their car window where they are parked or people taking trash from their house who are too lazy to take it to the proper bins and I don’t get how defensive they are when confronted – like calling them out is the crime. Just plain ignorance and selfishness. Don’t get me started on people dumping car tyres.
Or maybe you could (pick it up) instead of complaining to Reddit

I have been in Poland for a hike once. Visited some park called Krajobrazowy doliny bobru. At first it was a trash pile here and there along the way in between the fields. I was little surprised but nothing one wouldn’t expect. But then there was another… then another. In fact, the closer we got to the park, the worse it got.
Inside the “park” there were multiple dumps, trash and clothes along the way, but nothing could prepare me for what we found in the heart of the park… As it was Krajobrazowy doliny bobru I as a Czech translated it roughly to something like Land out of the picture (beautiful like a picture), the valley of beavers, with crystal clear water and wildlife all around…
Nope it was a toxic swamp with island of plastic floating on top, I have never seen something like this anywhere. Some black waste water leaking from nearby factory into the lake and more small dumps along the way. Plastic pipes, car interior, random trash, more clothes… and as a little cherry on the top, a middle aged couple with Škoda Octavia stealing wood from the park forest.
It takes one asshole for you to loose it ?

I live by the Sea. I was furious when I saw garbage scattered on the sidewalks. I couldn’t understand what was wrong with humans until I saw once that seagulls make all this mess in search of food.
