Either an interesting play on her part, or she’s forgotten how to spell her name for the resignation letter. My money’s in the latter.
Poor girl has just found out Johnson was told no to her appointment months ago. There was a great piece about Johnson and living off his reputation the other day. The guy has gone through life fulfilling this role of likeable rogue and what they think establishment looks like, grifting and living for free, using people around him and falling upwards.
Poor nads has just found all that debasing has led to her losing her job in protest at a job she was never going to get…
She’s waiting until whoever is operating as Johnson’s brain tells her to jump.
I assume she’s waiting to see what Johnson tells her to do.
She’s still an MP, she still gets to speak at the HoC, I think she’s holding out for one or more of – the chance to denounce the comittee and its members whilst she still has immunity, the chance to fuck up the Tories with an autumn by-election, and the chance to do a George Costanza and hope everyone forgets that she resigned.
