Keir Starmer tells Rishi Sunak to ‘get a backbone’ and call a general election NOW

  1. Why drag out the agony? Better to admit the Tories had a nice long run, quit now and let Labour handle the mess.

  2. About fucking time. If only if brits themselves had a backbone and protest the blatant corruption that’s happening right in front of them

  3. Sunak and his supporters must be panicking as the time of a general election draws near! Maybe they should check the Jobs Office, just in case.

  4. Labour wins

Tories moan for the next ten years how much of a mess the country is.

They get a poster boy like Cameron and middle England gets amnesia and votes them back in eventually.

  5. Every week in power is another week they can spend siphoning public money off to their mates/spouses etc. The tories will keep their hand in the moneybag until they’re dragged away screaming

  6. Alterantively Keir Starmer hands Rishi Sunak a pistol and tells him to shoot himself in the head NOW

  7. Sunak became PM because he saw an opportunity, which meant stabbing his own boss in the back.

He took that, and then lost in a vote amongst his own voters.

He then got in by default after Truss went full Tory. And you never go full Tory.

Sunak isn’t like Johnson. He didn’t dream his whole life of being PM. Sunak’s just grabbed the position, he’s using it for his own benefit, and will not give a shit about what happens to the country after.

  8. Speaking on a completely neutral level – rishi has not ONCE taken the initiative to show leadership. With every single scandal he has sat back let it run it’s course letting whatever it is snowball

  9. It’s sad because they won’t get re-elected, so they’ll fuck it up more so labour have a tricky time and then we’ll repeat again ffs

  10. Really wish a GE would be now but can’t see it. The Tories would never do that to themselves. They probably think they can get on the right side of people’s minds lol.

  11. My take is that we’ll see this timeline –
Crash/max interest rates by Nov 2023.
Interest rates reducing Jan, Feb, March.
New optimistic budget March 2024, raising earnings thresholds for tax.
    Election July/August 2024.
All done before the USA presidential election in November 2024.

  12. Rishi needed to nip this rebellion in the bud sooner. He’s looking very weak by allowing Rees Mogg and co to speak out against the government without repercussions.

  13. lol, concede defeat now and screw over yourself and your own party! Screw over any hope you may have of lessening the oncoming majority. This really is a silly thing to say and I want an election too lmao. Fuck all to do with backbone and it’s stupid to believe otherwise.

  14. I really dislike the Tories, but this incarnation of Labour is so uninspiring. Do they have any decent left leaning policies? Will they repeal any of the anti-protest laws, will they fund local authorities properly?.

  15. When I was at school, it was drilled into our heads that democracy is great as on the off-chance we vote in the next hitler we can vote them out.

What I’ve learnt since being an adult is that if we vote in the next hitler they can literally just stay in power and do what they want for 5 years. Who knows maybe they could make some bs rule to stay indefinitely.

    Fuck the tories

  16. Why should he call an election when no matter when he does they are going to lose. Am sure Starmer in his position would do the same.

  17. This is always so dumb like obviously the opposition would call for a GE when they are polling well but why would any incumbent be like oh go on then x

  18. It’s unbelievable that an open goal Labour win is gonna be wasted on Kier Starmer.

Imagine if somebody genuinely progressive was in power…

  19. Nah, we rather crash the country, set the car on fire, take a flaming shit and blame Labour for us crashing the country

I wouldn’t be surprised if their sole objective is to fuck everything up even more,so they can harass the next lot about it.
