West Yorkshire Police warning after 999 call over unpaid wages

  1. Would the police be mocking a 999 call if the employer rang to say she’d stole two weeks wages from the safe at work?

Wage theft is theft. This is not a good use of emergency service contact numbers but I feel not the case to mock.

  2. > Emergency operators also receive about 200 accidental 999 calls every day, with many phones being inadvertently pocket dialled or from children playing on their parents’ phones.

I’d bet there’s been a huge rise in this lately because many smartphones will dial 112 if you press the power button 5 times quickly.

I know a couple of people at work who have done this.

  3. I’m not a fan of wasting police time like this. The police are here to protect wealth and power, not you wage slave scrubs. Now get back to work and be thankful you have a job! Even if it’s not paying you…
