What happened to taking back control? I never like that slogan anyway. Sounds like an advert for Adult diapers…which I guess is on brand for Britain. Nevermind.
To be fair, the world as a whole has been exposed to new pandemics literally every day, bit of a non-story for the sake of a few clicks.
Not helped by the fact that measures taken during the last one caused a huge part of our population to be skeptical of these things… meaning that when a major pandemic which much higher mortality rate comes, all of those skeptics won’t play ball.
Stay scared everyone, listen to the TV and the politicians who don’t follow the advice they give…
I mean, the government did mothball the biggest testing lab and sack all the staff at the start of the year.
> As a technology, it’s semi-foolproof
Fool-resistant? Cause if I get wet, this jacket’s getting returned.
Every country is exposed to pandemics. Even China which had the biggest lockdown effort *eventually* had to expose themselves fully to Covid.
Don’t worry. I’m sure the Tories will be ready to throw government contracts to friends and family.
Our general health as a population does not help. We are getting sicker as inequality grows as fast as the NHS backlog, however our high obesity rate, poor diet, high alcohol intake and low exercise rates all mean we have a very unfit population who are much more vulnerable to any illness, let alone a pandemic.
Im sure there is a section of society that would love nothing more than to live in a permanent lock down and be quadruple masked at all times while bathing in hand sanitiser.
Society is still counting the cost of the last pandemic, all of the “died suddenly” incidents and all of the vaccine injured people. The truth will come out eventually it just depends whether the brainwashed people would be able to accept it.
Ah yes “the guardian” and their experts lmao
As if anyone listens to these doom mongers anymore
