Kind off, but more of a symbol as gates to the sea

K and D. K stands for Klaipėda and D is for Danė (the river).
I lived in Klaipėda for a short time and didn’t know this 🤣
Fun fact, despite this being a penthouse hotel, there is also Olympic Casino connected to it. Definitely belongs to some holding group or a rich individual.
I stayed in ‘D’ building overnight. it was 17th floor with river/port view.
interior (well, and the exterior) are a bit dated/questionable, but the view through the huge windows was incredible.
Idk but I want to connect them so bad
I thought they are meant to resemble sails of a ship.
It stands for K/D, meaning kill to death ratio.
No its for Circle K
Apparently the K and D means “Klaipėdos Daugiabutis” Which means “The Condo of Klaipėda”
Thank you for showing us how ugly buildings in the port area look like!
Yes, they are called “K&D complex” officially. K for Klaipėda, D for Danė. Both buildings connect when you’re on a ferry or cruise.
