Tesco’s PR masterstroke puts price pressure on rivals

  1. This article goes on about how Tesco pulled of a marketing coup with these cuts.

    Thats abit rich when RTE had this announcement has the headline article on their website for a least a day.
    RTE saw fit to have a press release as the lead story on their website.

    Also the article states that nobody knows what the 700 products where as they only listed 11 in the press release.

    They then state that other retailers havent reacted yet. More like they dont need to act because these ‘price cuts’ arent cuts at all, just some massaging of clubcard discounts.

  2. It’s bolloxology. Increase prices hugely over the last year then take a few cents off!!!
    Were still paying well over the odds for food in this country.

  3. Don’t bye the hype, Tesco stared the price surge, got caught and now are back peddling, they don’t deserve praise for taking advantage.
