  1. Only references I can find to the aircraft indicate that it’s a DA62 built in 2016 and outfitted for and sold to a UK flight inspections company called FCSL who appear to currently hold a contract to calibrate navigation systems and aids for Irish airports.

    They were probably running tests or calibration runs between the two airports.

  2. If you look at where it was circling in those weird squiggles it seems it might line up with this map of radio navigation aids (zoom in near dublin airport)

    My guess is they are checking that those navigation beacons are all doing their job correctly and accurately by comparing data obtained from the beacon to data gathered maybe from GPS or other navigation systems.
