Why ministers MUST crack down on the UK’s ‘sex for rent’ scandal: A Mail On Sunday investigation exposes the nauseating practices of landlords preying on young women by offering cheaper accommodation in exchange for sexual favours

  1. This is a tough one. Those who are victims of sexual exploitation stand to lose their home if they reach out for help. We need more safe houses and better thought through processes to help people quickly and successfully get away from their abusers. Even then, there will still be a lot of people suffering in silence.

  2. Sex for rent is just a symptom of the housing shortage. Ministers know the solution… flood the housing market with high density new builds, crush the NIMBY’s, and never take the boot off their neck till we have built back the 5m homes were missing.

At the end of the day, when there’s so few housing units to allocate at a low price when rationed… you’re going to get pervs doing this…

  3. It is a terrible situation, but before we cast rocks at the Landlords, remember it takes more than one to tango! What about the young women who offer it up for their own gain?

Now you can throw the ricks!
