“CH-Version” products nowadays…

  1. I mean… i can also do this myself and buy the “EU” version. 😀 Adapter is included anyways.

  2. I always have a few power plugs at home, purchased from a DIY store. I just cut off the original plug and put one of mine on it. Yes, i do know how.

I wouldn’t use such an abomination like on the pic, way too much strain on the connectors.

  3. Okay the front part of the plug, everything after the big plate including itself, is actually swiss standard. It’s a rather new Type 13 plug designed to be more or less water resistant when plugged in, indicated by the IP55 on the plate.

  4. I’m not a fan of the EU style plugs but at this point, can’t we just switch to these? People like to cry about everything in CH being more expensive, but then don’t want to part with their special snowflake version of everything..

(although to be fair, electronics is the one thing that’s not really more expensive in CH than in the EU)

  5. “Nowadays”

Boomer comment where OP takes a single random crap as an example just as if everything else was also impacted.

  6. Yet that’s enough to jack the price up 40-100% more compared to the EU-version that’s the same exact product.

But then you get a warranty that’s valid in Switzerland. Whereas Swiss service centers refuse to touch the non-CH version.
