Fucking finally, I hate to get rid of the old vignette each year. Especially the residue of the adhesive.
Will speed radars on highways automatically check for the vignette?
If the vignette is also available for non-CH cars I will expect a lot of fines, now they can just look at the windshield and make you buy one if you don’t have it
I was actually expecting it to be delayed for yet another year as per usual, pleasant surprise, as far I read there isn’t a system mentioned where you can scan the current Vignette which would had been a nice addition, would be glad to finally get rid of the sticker that is so glaring off the corner of my vision.
Nice. That means that in the future I can use the same spot for the Umweltplakette.
Next, the CH on the license plates. Come on, it’s a stupidly simple change, purely technical, why is that a political thing and not something that an office would decide overnight?
I wonder if you’ll be subject to more random stops at the border crossing with an old fashioned vignette or an e-vignet which isn’t easily visible for the border agent. Might “stick” to the old vignette.
Nice! Soon removing the old vignette is going to be a nostalgic yearly struggle for most of us! 🥲

It’s a stupidity and loss of money in administration. Why can’t we put that in taxes… it would be cheaper and more efficient for everyone.
