The protestors are just deluded, watched the video and heard them say they don’t want to be on the streets protesting but this is the “only way” to get to government to listen. The government loves these protests as it fuels the culture wars bullshit, keeps their own behaviour out of the headlines and allows them to gain support for draconian anti-protest laws. When 80% of the country hates what your doing how will that put pressure on the government to listen to you?
I’m starting to think that just stop oil is a false flag organisation with the goal of discouraging people from supporting of tackling climate change.
If the police refuse to get these people out the fucking way, people will do it themselves.
People trying to make a difference and highlight a genuine, scientific global catastrophe.

If they are going to block a road, a pre-arranged, go-slow cycle protest would probably be better for public support.
